Help & Support
1
Can singing bowl therapy replace medical treatment?
No. Singing bowl therapy and sound healing are complementary wellness practices and are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, medication, or professional medical treatment. If you have a chronic, serious, or ongoing medical condition, please consult your doctor before attending a session.
2
Is sound healing suitable during pregnancy?
Pregnant clients should consult their healthcare professional before participating. Singing bowls and sound healing instruments will not be placed directly on the body during pregnancy, particularly during the first 12 weeks, and will not be used directly on the abdomen or back.
3
Can I receive sound healing if I have epilepsy?
If you have epilepsy or a history of seizures, please consult your doctor before participating in sound healing. Certain sounds or vibrations may not be suitable for everyone, and medical clearance may be required.
4
Can I receive treatment if I have a pacemaker or other implanted medical device?
Please inform your practitioner before your session if you have a pacemaker, ICD, stent, shunt, artificial heart valve, deep brain stimulation device, or other implanted medical device. Singing bowls will not be placed directly over or near these devices, and appropriate safety distances will be maintained.
5
When should singing bowls not be placed directly on the body?
Singing bowls should not be placed directly over open wounds, acute inflammation, tumours, blood clots or deep vein thrombosis (DVT), inflamed veins or joints, metallic implants, artificial joints, screws, staples, or unhealed surgical areas.
6
What should I tell my practitioner before a session?
Please let us know before your session if you are pregnant, have epilepsy, heart conditions or arrhythmias, implanted medical devices, recent surgery, blood clots, vascular conditions, significant inflammation, skin conditions, or any other serious or ongoing health concerns. When appropriate, we may recommend obtaining medical clearance before proceeding.
